Following the first few lessons, it is advisable to buy or rent a piano or keyboard to enable you to practice and improve your playing. You can either rent or buy a digital keyboard, giving you the flexibility to upgrade whenever you're ready.

Learning the piano can be a delightful journey at any age. Many children start around seven, but what's most important is having the motivation and commitment to learn. There's no upper age limit for starting to play the piano, so whether you're a child or adult, please contact me and start your piano journey.

I recommend that a half an hour lesson is fine for a beginner but as you or your child progresses then we normally increase this to 45 minutes.

Joanne holds a Grade 8 qualification, a piano diploma, and has over 30 years of piano playing experience. She has taught by acclaimed concert pianist, is fully insured, and holds DBS clearance.
Currently pursuing PTC accreditation, she continually refines her teaching approach to ensure each lesson is both educational and enjoyable.
